Hamlin residents can look forward to a distinctive addition to their neighborhood, catering to enthusiasts of fine wines, premium spirits, and cigar culture. Donny and Candace Itwaru, owners of the upcoming 62 Cigar Bar and Social Club and Regency Wine and Spirits Marketplace, are set to open their dual-concept business at 15487 Sunquat Drive in late 2025.
The 10,000-square-foot building will house both ventures, with the wine and spirits marketplace occupying the first floor and the cigar bar located upstairs. Designed to offer an elevated experience, the new businesses aim to combine luxury, social gathering spaces, and culinary excellence.
The Regency Wine and Spirits Marketplace will feature a curated selection of 1,200 to 1,300 wines and sparkling beverages, paired with a 90-seat patio for guests to enjoy tapas alongside their drinks. Upstairs, the 62 Cigar Bar and Social Club will boast two 1,000-square-foot patios, private seating areas, a sunken living room, and a walk-in humidor. It will also include a speakeasy-style private room and an advanced air filtration system, which cleans the air 15 times per hour to maintain a fresh environment.
Chef Heberto Segura, known for his work at The Drake Kitchen + Bar in downtown Orlando, will craft the tapas menu for the wine marketplace. Chef Segura, along with his wife, Pastry Chef Rona Segura, has gained acclaim for globally inspired cuisine made with local ingredients. His prior experience includes serving as executive chef at Disney Springs’ Raglan Road for a decade.
The Itwarus prioritized an immersive design, hiring architects with experience at Universal Studios to create a space that reflects the rich cigar traditions of Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, and Cuba. This approach contrasts with earlier designs they felt were too “institutional.”
The project has not been without its challenges. Last year, some residents expressed concerns about the proximity of a liquor store and cigar bar to homes and a nearby park. Critics cited worries about noise, traffic, and the appropriateness of such businesses in a residential area. Supporters, however, viewed the businesses as aligning with the mixed-use vision for the community.
The Itwarus bring over a decade of experience to this new venture, having successfully operated Regency Wine and Liquor in Winter Garden since 2009. Their first business is known for its clean environment, excellent deals, and customer-friendly services, including delivery to Walt Disney World resorts.
As anticipation grows for this ambitious project, the 62 Cigar Bar and Social Club and Regency Wine and Spirits Marketplace aim to redefine luxury and community in the Horizon West area.
