Forged in the heat of Florida comes one of the most exciting new voices in contemporary jazz—Golden Flower is a progressive jazz band based in Orlando. An improvising ensemble consisting of Trumpet, Synths, Bass, and Drums lead by Shawn Villanueva, Patrick Moreno, Brandon Kyle Miller, Cameron Gholami and special guest Caitlin Pequignot on Violin, exploring international music influences, the group focuses on the heartbeat of rhythm in each of their songs. Blending styles of progressive rock, funk, electric dance music, South American musics, and jazz, Golden Flower finds a sound all of its own.
Golden Flower has a residency at The Nook on Robinson in Orlando and has performed at City Arts for the In Between Series, the Orlando Fringe Festival, and with Bobby Callender for the 50th anniversary of The Way: First Book of Experiences at the Timucua Arts White House. Its members have performed regularly on national tours as well as internationally.
